The text of this illumination is from The Logia or Sayings of the Master, the poem The Age-Long Way, and the psalm The Lord's My Shepherd (Scottish Paraphrase). The top two panels on the left contain the opening sentences of the Logos or Word from The Logia. Underneath four verses from the psalm are illustrated with beautiful miniatures. The quotation at the bottom of the centre panel is from the Age-Long Way. On the right the quotations are from the Apocalypse, as presented in The Logia. Again, beautiful miniatures accompany the quotations. Scenes such as the Worship of the Lamb of God, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the Seven Angels with Seven Trumpets, and the Holy City are easily recognized.
