Text of FB10 - The Prophecy of Ezekiel
(Left column, upper)
THE hand of the Lord was laid upon me, and
He upbore me to the Land of Israel when
they, in the days, were God's Ancients.
There He set me down upon a very high moun-
tain on the South side.
The mountain was as a city encompassed by
walls, and within its inner walls (embrasure)
stood the Temple. When the Spirit bore
me within the Temple, One, in the fashion of
a man, stood before me. His appear-
ance was radiant as brass burnished and
reflecting the glory of the Sun. In his
hand he held a line which was as of flax,
and also a rod as if to measure the Temple;
He spake unto me, saying, 'Son of Man, be-
hold with thy vision, hear with open ear, and let
the heart be fully set upon all that is to be un-
veiled to thee. Unto this end hast
thou been brought hither that thou might-
est declare unto the House of Israel those
things which are to be shewn unto you.
(Left column, middle)
Then the Angel brought me again unto the door
of the Eastern Court and shewed me Waters iss-
uing from under the threshold. These Waters
flowed Eastward. They came from under the
right side of the Sanctuary and flowed from be-
neath the South side of the Altar. Then
the Angel brought me to the Gate that looked
Northward and led me thence to the outer-
most Gate that looked Eastward, and behold
there ran the Waters that had issued from
the right side of the Sanctuary and flow-
ed beneath the South side of the Altar.
Then the Angel, carrying carrying [sic] the meas-
uring Rod in his hand, went forth Eastward,
taking me with Him. With his Rod He
measured 1000 cubits. And he took me
through the Waters; in depth the Waters were up
to my ankles. Then He measured with his
Rod 1000 cubits and He took me into the River, and
the Waters were up to my knees. After this
this the Angel stretched forth his Rod and meas-
ured another 1000 cubits, and he took me into the
River and through the Waters; here the waters rose
to my loins. Once more the Angel took me
with Him as He measured by his Rod yet another
1000 cubits; but here I found the River so deep
that I could not walk through its waters. The
River had become so deep that only those who were
great swimmers could enter its waters. Nor could
it be encompassed. And the Angel said unto me,
'Son of Man, understandest thou this Mystery of God?'
(Left column, lower)
And I was filled with such great awe at the wonder
of the mysterious River, and because of my
experiences in its Waters, that the motion of this
Being could not find any utterance.
Then I beheld on the banks of the River many Trees.
These clothed both sides.
And the Angel said to me, 'Wheresoever these
Waters flow, healing is brought to the Earth's
streams, and to all Souls. And the fruits of the
Trees shall be for meat unto all Souls; the Leaves
also are of the Everlasting.
And the fishers of Souls shall sit on the Banks of
the River, from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim.
And the Great Fish shall be found there.
The Lord laid his hand upon me in Blessing
and He bare me up in the motion of the Spirit.
(Right column, upper)
In the days when I was a dweller in the land
of the Chaldeans, the Word of the Lord came
unto me. Then were the
Heavens opened, and in vision was God revealed
unto me. As I looked into the
Heavens, I beheld a Spiral Cloud whose motion
was like a whirlwind with an enfolding Flame.
It was enveloped in Radiance which proceeded from
out the midst of the Flame, and was like pure Amber
in its colour. From out of the Spiral
there emanated the Four Living Ones.
These had the appearance of Adonai when He ap-
pears as the Divine Man. Each of them had
four faces and six Wings. Their feet
were as standard of burnished brass, and reflec-
ted the Glory of the Radiance of the Flame.
Their Hands were like those of a Man, and they plac-
ed them under their Wings. Their Wings were
united to each other; for their powers were in unity,
and moved together wheresoever they went.
The likeness of the four faces of each of the four
faces was that of a Man as they stood upright, on
the right side the face of a Lion; on the left side the
face of an Ox; and beneath ... of an Eagle.
(Right column, middle)
Above the Firmament that was over their heads
I beheld a Throne come into my Vision.
It was in appearance like a great Sapphire.
And upon the Throne, and yet above it, I beheld
the One who was in the likeness of the Divine
Man. He was enveloped in a Flame of Sacred
Fire whose color was like pure Amber.
The Sacred Fire moved from his Loins upward, and
and [sic] from His Loins downward; and as it moved it
clothed Him with Resplendence. And the Radiance
was as the Rainbow round about the Throne,
and it became a Cloud of Glory. For the Rainbow
was as the Glory of the Elohim. When I
beheld this, I bowed my Being before Him; and then
did I hear the Voice of the Presence speaking to me.
And He said: Son of Man, Behold, I set thee
as a Watchman over the House of Israel.
Therefore, hear ye My Word, and proclaim it unto
the House of Israel. Then I beheld a Roll within
and without. The Writings bore the signs of grief,
sorrow and anguish; and were concerned with the
House of Israel. And the voice commanded me
to eat the Roll. Unto me as I ate it, it was even as Honey;
but soon it became bitterness unto me.
And he also said unto me, 'Son of Man, Receive now
into thy Heart all of My Word that I shall speak to thee,
and hold the the [sic] things in thy remembrance.' And as
the Spirit upbore me, the bitterness of the grief, sorrow
and anguish written within the Scroll, filled me until I be-
came one with them. For the Hand of the Lord was great
upon me even to the moving of the Passion of my Being.
(Right column, lower)
In my vision I beheld a valley peopled with the dead, as
if a multitude had been slain in it, for the valley seem-
ed to be filled with the remains of the dead. In the
open champagne everything appeared to be very dry
as if the Breath of Life were absolutely absent.
Then did I hear the Voice speak to the Four Breaths,
saying, 'Come now, O Breath, and breathe from the
four quarters of the Heavens upon those who have
been dead that they might live again.' and the Breath
from the Four Dimensions moved within them, and
made them live again. And they arose and stood
upon their feet marshalled as the Hosts of the Lord.
'I will tabernacle in the midst of you; and the
children of Judah shall come to know that the Lord
God of Hosts is in the midst of Israel. Thus shall I
make manifest through Israel the Glory of My Name.'
