Anna Kingsford and Edward Maitland
Anna Bonus Kingsford and Edward Maitland were 19th century English mystics.
They never met Reverend Ferrier, yet he felt a profound kinship with them and their teachings. An article he wrote in appreciation of their major work “The Perfect Way; or, the Finding of Christ” includes the following paragraph:
“The Perfect Way was given to the world to destroy the materialistic systems, Scientific, Philosophic and Religious, through presenting the true nature of the Soul and its wonderful spiritual history, its true requirements and marvellous possibilities, and so recalling all who are able to enter into the beautiful life of the Redemption and the glorious Realisations of Christhood.”
See the Anna Kingsford Website for an account of the remarkable lives and work of Kingsford and Maitland. Extensive quotations from their writings are included.

The Logia or Sayings of the Master
DEDICATION
To the Members of the ANCIENT CHRISTHOOD ORDER who have for untold ages been dwellers within this planetary system, ministering unto the children of the Earth in things that are of God and the Soul, the true Seers and Prophets in all ages and amongst all peoples, the Interpreters of the Divine Wisdom and Manifestors of the Divine Love;
And very specially to those of them who formed the inner group of the Master's most intimate friends, and heard from Him these Logia, and beheld His sorrow in the days of His Gethsemane;
And of these we would name two who have been with us once more as the Messengers of the Highest, and who now minister from the Heavens, namely, ANNA BONUS KINGSFORD and EDWARD MAITLAND, who were known under other names in the days of the blessed Manifestation and were very near to the Master:–
To these we dedicate this volume.
